On March 20, the DGT Tax Authority in Costa Rica published resolution Nº DGT-R-012-2018, establishing the general mandatory use of electronic invoices in the country. Taxpayers not already mandated by the Tax Administration will be mandated to go live with an eInvoicing solution, depending on the last digit of their tax id number, starting September 1, 2018.
