Join us in Pittsburgh on June 6 to learn about recent and upcoming tax mandates and how to tackle them. Our Sovos expert Matt Walsh will be joined by partners from KPMG and SAP and will speak to:

  • Current Trends and Legislative Action Impacting Tax Compliance Across the Globe

The world and how business is done is expanding and changing, but so are rules for indirect tax compliance.   This session will look at changing tax legislation in the US and abroad, highlighting some of the bigger shifts in tax policy and compliance requirements.   We will look at a few specific examples such as changes in PA law; and VAT on cross border sales of services and how these changes fit into this larger policy shift.

  • The Growth of Technology and Automation in Tax Compliance – What the Future Holds

Technology is used everywhere today, but what does this mean for the world of Tax Compliance.    Between a basic spreadsheet and the most current bots and data analytics, technology and the automation of systems to manage your tax compliance burdens is quickly changing.    This session will look at current trends in technology as well as what the future will look like.   How can you use these new tools to manage your tax and compliance requirements; but also to provide for useful data and analytics you can use to move your business forward.

After the learning sessions, there will be a tour of the brewery followed by dinner with some of the many beers brewed on site!
